Either I’m really running high on the productivity scale or it’s a really slow news day. Knowing me, it ain’t my productivity. So here are the select few stories that weren’t quite worth a post, but are worth a look: Revaluing Social Networks: TechCrunch looks at another way to assign valuations to social networks. [...]

After my last post, Magetoo asks why do I blog? Poor Alison does not understand why I blog at all, being as I am so very bitter and angry, which I suppose we can classify under #8 in my newly numbered list of reasons why I shouldn't blog, with a dollop of #7 and #9.

Anyway, why not talk about why I do blog?

My Tesla post gathered two comments here. 13 comments and 12 “Likes” over on FriendFeed. Let’s just stick a fork in it. Comments are dead. And I won’t even tell you about all the spam I just had to delete. Sigh. Of course you can discuss this over on FriendFeed too.

ScienceBlogs : Combined Feed Surrealist Love Story [Aardvarchaeology] rating stars

Over at Podcastle, I just heard an amazing reading/performance of an amazing surrealist love story, "Fourteen Experiments in Postal Delivery". It was written by John Schoffstall, first published as text two years ago, and read by Heather Lindsley at Random Jane. It's got some gore and a few naughty words, it's nerdily intellectual, it's lyrically written and it's really, really funny.

China is an economic and social disaster waiting to happen unless they starting spending their $1.4 Trillion in reservers on their social infrastructure. Even then I dont think it is enough to clean up the mess that is going on in China. People forget that china was actually the main player in the world economy in the early 20th Century and then collpased and fell into Communisim becuase it was the top small % controlling and opressing the masses. history is repeating itself.
